Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 01, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ZTeraDB collects, uses, and discloses information associated with an identified or identifiable individual (referred to in this Privacy Policy as ‘Personal Data’) and what choices you have around this activity.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. When we refer to ‘ZTeraDB’, we mean SIEBEN RESEARCH PRIVATE LIMITED, as explained in more detail in the ‘Identifying the data controller and processor’ section below.
Applicability of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to ZTeraDB’s online dashboard, productivity tools, platform and services, including the associated desktop applications (collectively, the ‘Services’), zteradb.com and other ZTeraDB websites (collectively, the ‘Websites’) and other interactions (e.g. customer service enquiries, user conferences, etc.) that you may have with ZTeraDB. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, then do not access or use the Services, Websites or any other aspect of ZTeraDB’s business. For the avoidance of doubt, this is the only privacy policy that applies to ZTeraDB.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party applications or software that integrate with the Services through the ZTeraDB platform (‘Third-Party Services’), or any other third-party products, services or businesses who will provide their services under their own terms of service and privacy policy. In addition, a separate agreement governs delivery, access and use of the Services (the ‘Customer Agreement’), including the processing of data such as database instances, databases, schemas, files or other content submitted through Services accounts (collectively, ‘Customer Data’). See the agreement governing your access to your ZTeraDB account and the ZTeraDB Data Privacy page for more information about how we handle content. The organisation (e.g. your employer or another entity or person) that entered into the Customer Agreement (the ‘Customer’) controls its instance of the Services (its ‘Database Instances’) and any associated Customer Data.
Information We Collect and Receive
ZTeraDB will collect and receive information through operating the Platform, Services and Websites, and through other interactions with ZTeraDB. Such information will include Customer Data and other information and data (‘Other Information’) in a variety of ways:
Customer Data: Customers granted access to ZTeraDB by a Customer (“Authorised Users”) routinely submit Customer Data (such as Database Instance, Databases, schemas or other content submitted through Services accounts) to ZTeraDB when using the Services.
Other Information: ZTeraDB also collects, generates and/or receives the following categories of Other Information:
- Database instance: To create or update a database, you or our customer (e.g. your employer) supply ZTeraDB instance with instance host name, port number, user name, password, and / or other database instance details.
- Account information: To create or update an account, you or our Customer (e.g. your employer) supply ZTeraDB with an email address, phone number, name, role and/or other account set-up details. In addition, Customers provide billing details such as banking info and addresses.
- Services metadata: When an Authorised User interacts with the Services, metadata is generated providing runtime context. We log Database Instances, Databases, schemas, features, query footprints, and connected system links.
- Log data: Our servers automatically collect network log metadata files. This includes internet protocol (IP) address configuration details, browser definitions, operational tracking timestamps, system languages, and plug-in configurations.
- Third-Party Services information: A Customer can choose to permit or restrict Third-Party Services integrations across database schemas, passing transaction mapping structures transparently into our system feeds.
- Cookie information: ZTeraDB uses a variety of cookies and similar technologies. For details on tracking mechanics and opt-out flows, please see our Cookie Policy.
